Donostia-San Sebastian, 13.11.2008 – SEED GIPUZKOA, invests 3.1 million Euros in Guipúzcoa companies GMTK Multi-Process Machining S.A (1.5 million), IKOR METERING S.A (1.5 million), and TOTEM MT KOOP (175 thousand), to help develop their business. In addition, SEED GIPUZKOA has agreed to increase its capital to 3 million Euros.<sl><sl>GMTK is a machine-tool sector company, dedicated to designing and manufacturing vertical and inclined bed multi-tasking machines, for machining complex high value parts for sectors such as energy and aeronautics. It aims to become a world reference in the production of such multi-tasking machines, thanks to its modular designs adapted to each application, thereby optimising the production process for the finished part.
Vertical multi-tasking machines are those with plates between 1,200mm and 3,500mm, and inclined bed machines from 2,000mm between points, guaranteeing reliability, productivity and quality customer service.
IKOR METERING is a company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for its automatic water and gas reading clients, facilitating their customer management, and network control and management.
The company has developed an integral automatic meter reading solution with its iFLOW system, adaptable to any type of water or gas meter. Thanks to its innovative telecommunications technology, ZIGBEE, it is set to become a standard in the Smart Metering market.
TOTEM MT manufactures and markets an innovative-patented climbing safety device known as “friend”. It sets itself apart by its gripping capacity with a lower friction coefficient between cam and rock, making it ideal for slippery walls. In addition, the company wishes to research, develop, manufacture and market other products for climbing activities.
SEED GIPUZKOA was created in 2007 by the Gipúzkoa Regional Government and Sociedad Gestión de Capital Riesgo del País Vasco (SGECR) 50/50. With the approval to increase its share capital, this will go up to 6,590,000.00 Euros.
Its aim is to finance new technology based innovative companies from Guipúzcoa during their first years of life, and to promote their development by participating in their share capital.
